Sneakers Meaning

The first "sneaker" was invented in 1893. It was made of canvas and was invented so boaters would not have to wear dress shoes when they were on deck.
Sneakers are shoes made in a flexible material with a rubber sole used originally for sporting activeties.
Today are very popular and worn more a causual footwear.

Different Way to Say Sneaker:

-United States : Sneakers (in some urban area Kicks)
The term "sneaker" was first used in 1916 by the US Rubber Company cause rubber soles made the shoes less squeaky.

-British English : Trainers
The term "trainer" derives from "training shoe".

-Hiberno English : Runner
